Community Pharmacy
Our Pharmacists can give you advice on a range of conditions and suggest medicines that can help.
They may also be able to offer treatment and prescribe medication for these conditions, without you needing to see a GP.
- impetigo (aged 1 year and over)
- infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)
- earache (aged 1 to 17 years)
- sore throat (aged 5 years and over)
- sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)
- urinary tract infections (UTIs) (women aged 16 to 64 years)
- shingles (aged 18 years and over)
You may also be referred to Pharmacy First, at your local Pharmacy, who can offer treatment and prescribe medication for some conditions.

Evening and weekend appointments are now available to book via our reception team. Appointment times will be between 6:30pm and 8pm Monday evenings and 8am to 12pm Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
- If you need an interpreter.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone us before 10am on 01892 652255.
